Lipoaspiration and Processing to Create Microfragmented Adipose Tissue

چکیده
Background: Orthobiologics are increasingly used to treat musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Adipose may be a useful source of autologous cells for orthobiologic interventions. The lipoaspiration and processing techniques necessary obtain these not traditionally taught in most orthopedic training programs. Therefore, the goal this video is review technique adipose harvest preparation create microfragmented tissue (MFAT). Indications: Currently, all MFAT applications off-label. In practice, commonly osteoarthritis tendon disease. Technique Description: After local anesthesia administered, 17-gauge trochar inserted into subcutaneous adipose, tumescent solution injected. 5-minute waiting period, separate attached Autopose double-syringe (Arthrex; Naples, Florida) adipose. Lipoaspiration performed by moving device back forth fan-like pattern. 20 mL lipoaspirate has been harvested from first site, process repeated on contralateral side. 40 harvested, removed decanted 3 5 minutes. Then, 10 sterile saline injected using Luer lock attachment. This rinse second time. Once excess fluid removed, capped, outer syringe slowly pushed down move through resizing filter. inner contains final product. Discussion/Conclusion: Lipoaspirate simple that can clinic or operating room MFAT. provides unique population beneficial treating MSK pathology.

The Effect of Intra-articular Injection of Autologous Microfragmented Fat Tissue on Proteoglycan Synthesis in Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the leading musculoskeletal disorders in the adult population. It is associated with cartilage damage triggered by the deterioration of the extracellular matrix tissue. The present study explores the effect of intra-articular injection of autologous microfragmented adipose tissue to host chondrocytes and cartilage proteoglycans in patients with knee OA. A prospecti...

Chondral lesions are currently considered in the hip as a consequence of trauma, osteonecrosis, dysplasia, labral tears, loose bodies, dislocation, previous slipped capital femoral epiphysis and Femoro-Acetabular-Impingement (FAI). The management of chondral lesions is debated and several techniques are described. The physical examination must be carefully performed, followed by radiographs and...
متن کاملInformation Processing to Create Eye Movements
Because eye muscles never cocontract and do not deal with external loads, one can write an equation that relates motoneuron firing rate to eye position and velocity a very uncommon situation in the CNS. The semicircular canals transduce head velocity in a linear manner by using a high background discharge rate, imparting linearity to the premotor circuits that generate eye movements. This has a...

Human adipose tissue represents an abundant, practical and appealing source of donor tissue for autologous cell replacement. Recent findings have shown that stem cells within the stromalvascular fraction of adipose tissue display a multilineage developmental potential. Adipose tissue-derived stem cells can be differentiated towards adipogenic, osteogenic, chondrogenic, myogenic and neurogenic li...
